The Indian subsidiary of Mitsui Kinzoku’s catalyst business in India, MITSUI KINZOKU COMPONENTS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (hereafter referred to as “MKCI”), has provided support for the area’s public schools (elementary, middle and high schools), as well as public hospitals. Because of an increase in students, most of the public schools in the district in which MKCI is located did not have enough desks and chairs. MKCI therefore donated 150 sets of integrated chairs & desks (two-person type). Students who once had to sit on the floor can now attend lessons sitting on these chairs and working at these desks. MKCI also donated two ambulances to the public hospitals so that persons in need can receive treatment quickly. Shimada, the president of MKCI said, “MKCI is committed to environmental sustainability in India by supplying exhaust gas catalysts and developing the business together with the promotion of CSR activities so that people in India can attain a higher standard of living.”
